Dear Experts,
I have filled a divorce case and against which wife has filed a misc case u/s 24 demanding money for the divorce case.
I know that she is a primary teacher in a govt school in west Bengal but she has not admitted to it during the cross examination.
Please can anyone advice how I can get the details of her salary. I have heard of RTI but how much time it takes or procedure...I am not aware.
Please can any humble soul help me as she is making my life miserable demanding money.
Thanks in anticipation.

Well, do take the plea of her employment in your written objection to her 24 HMA petition.
Send a RTI application to her school asking for her employment details and salary. You will get the details.
It takes one month of time.
In which court in WB is it Pending?

It is in Berhampur, Murshidabad. Do I send the RTI to the school or to the school council in that region.?

School is not a public authority and therefore RTI Act does not apply to it. Get summons issued to the Principal or the Head Master of the school as witness to depose about the employment of your wife as teacher in the school.Discuss with ur Advocate.

RTI Act 2005 is appllicable in your case since your wife is working as teacher in Government Primary School, Govt. of West Bengal.
File application with the Public Information Officer of the School Education under RTI Act seeking information required. As per the provisions of the RTI Act, the PIO is supposed to provide the information within 30 days from the date of receipt of your application. If not received, after 30 days you have to file application before the first appellate authority.

I stand corrected. I omitted to note that the school is Govt School. Agree with Mr. Srinivasji and Mr. Barmanji.

You can get the summons issued to the school seeking the details of her employment and salary by filing a petition before the family court for this purpose if the RTI act route is not preferred.
