My maternal grandfather did not made any will but on share certificates there is a nominee name of my uncle. Is he the owner now or that nominee name means he is just a care taker of the property and the entire property will be shared amongst all the children. My maternal grandfather got 8-childrend and he is nomore now. Please reply.

Nomination does not override the rule of succession. So all the legal heirs of your grand father will inherit his property in undivided equal share.

Nominee is not the sole owner of the property. Legal heirs have claim on it.

Nominee is not the owner of the flat.
The legal heirs are entitled for equal shares in the property.

As rightly observed by the experts a nominee cannot act beyond a trustee to receive the property, he has to disburse the property equally to all the legal heirs of the deceased.
