Property Query

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 21 February 2011 This query is : Resolved
Hi, I am from HUF and I am the eldest son of my family. Last year my grand father expired and he didnt prepared any WILL for the property distribution. In our father's family, my father has 4 brothers. This year due to sudden demise, my father expired and he didnt prepared any WILL. Now most of my grand father's property is in the name of my grand mother. So as an eldest grand son, can I claim for my father's right towards property. Since most of my grand father's property is in the name of grand mother and since my father passed away, how critical it would be if my grand mother distribute the property among her remaining sons(4) and not giving any property to us. Can I claim any property named on my Grand Mother, for my father rights. I mean Can I act to claim on behalf of my Father. Thank you in advance!

You are the same person who asked the different question.
You can claim your share in the ancestral property in the share of your deceased father.
