Query

(Querist) 29 April 2013 This query is : Resolved
Good Morning. I have a query..

".....a lease deed for property at Gurgaon was entered between the parties. Now the address of one party has changed for which an Addendum to the Lease Deed is being executed. The Lease Deed is registered. Do we need to get the Addendum also registered? If yes, what will be the stamp duty and registraton fees? If not, it is sufficient to get it notarised?"
Thnx & Rgds

1. There is no requirement of registration of addendum to the lease deed as per provisions of section 17 of the Registration act.

2. Stamp Duty will be applicable as per schedule 1-b to the Indian Stamp Act as applicable at the state of Punjab and Haryana.

3. it should be sufficient to get it notarised.
