This query is : Resolved
I own a car with Delhi registration no which will be expiring its initial registration(i.e.15 years) in the month of Dec 13. I am a central govt emplyee and presently posted at Bhuj(Gujrat). Now I need to do re-registration of same car at Bhju, Gujarat with the present registratration no in stead of going all along to Delhi for physical verification by MVI, Delhi. Is there any such possibility of paying road tax/re-registration/physical varification of vehicle at Bhuj which will help me from spending extra expenditure. Can any body advise on subject? I will be thankful to him for his good advice.

Dear Abdul Razique sir,
Thanks a lot for your kind advise and spending valuable time for me. My answer in respect of second query is still un resolved. That, is there any provision to carry out the physical check of my vehicle by Bhuj RTO/MVI and give certificate of road worthyness which I can produced at Delhi RTO and get my other job done which will save me extra expenditure as well as risky by taking the vehicle all along to Delhi and back to Bhuj again.

Either you have to get fresh registration at Bhuj or renew from Delhi with same no.
Bhuj authorities can not give fitness certificate for Delhi renewal. Even if issued, I doubt Delhi authorities would accept it.

The queriest should have got the registration reassigned and carried out the change of address with the RTA in Gujarat as he has taken the car to that State on a permanent basis. Now, he should get this done quickly so that re-registration (after 15 years) could be carried out in Bhuj itself.

Dear Mr P Venu,
Thanks a lot for your good advise. But I could not understand the meaning of registration reassigned. Would you kindly briefly explain and how to do this and what are all document required for this and roughly how much time does it take.
