Reconstitution of Partnership firm

(Querist) 23 March 2009 This query is : Resolved 
Is it right that the reconstitution of partnership firm without the approval of existing partners or the legal heirs of the deceased partner is null and void.
If yes, kindly cite me the relevant provisions or case laws...

Re construction of partnership is not a recognised term in law. Any slightest change in partnership deed means creating a new partnership and certainly it repuires signature of all the partners. Section 31 is clear on this point
