Dear sir Iam a Advocate & presently practicing in distric court in m.p. now I want to practice as trademark attorney. please sir guide me the procedure to become trademark attorney. thanks.

I presume that you want to become practitioner in Trade Marks field. To my knowledge, any legal practitioner can work as lawyer on the side of Trade Marks. There is no separate registration for that. Lawyers are fortunate as they can practice in any field of law though they are not educated in that branch of law e.g. income tax, sales tax etc.unlike doctors who can practice in the field in which they have been educated e.g. a homeopath cant practice Allopathy.

Yes, I agree with the views of Mr. Palnitkar. An Advocate can practise in Trade Marks. However, to practice in IPR, one has to have science background, and one should also clear the Patent Agents Examination being conducted by the IPO organisation.

that is right but as advocate to be registred in particular state or district bar(for practise) the same way isn't trademark attorney need to registred in any trademark office?
