Registration of gramakantam lands- in telangana.

1. From which date it was mandatory to get gramakantam lands registered with sub-registrar in Telangana.
2. We have purchased a plot in gramakantam on 27-07-2018 through sale deed (unregistered), later mutation was not done by the gram panchayat and now we approached the Gram panchayat for mutation but they are asking registered sale deed. Kindly give us your valuable legal suggestion.

It is not yet restored and still no Gramakhatam land will be registered in Telangana. The Govt is saying it will be updated soon. So at present, the unregistered sale deed will not be registered and you cannot get a mutation certificate.

In that plot there was an old structure earlier and having house no. 3-71, and assessment no. 288 in the name of previous owner, we are constructing new house recently, and we approached Gram panchayat for mutation of the same, but they are asking for registered sale deed. any alternatives available for us to get mutation done sir.

Without registered title document you cannot claim even title or ownership of the property, hence you may have to wait until the government is permitting you to register the property after which you can apply for mutation.
