Dear friends, My question is can there be consideration in a relinquishment deed? If this deed needed to be registered what is the procedure pl advise Thank you

relinquishment may be for consideration, , all the persons having claim, interest in the property should be made as parties. stamp duty depends on the market valu or the value stated in the deed. if the relinquishsment deed of a personal right, it not be registerd.

Consideration can be mentioned. It has to be registered if the property reliquinshed is immovable in nature. Stamp duty in Karnataka for this deed is a fixed fee of Rs.1000/- for family members and it will be conveyance rate of duty if it is with others.
