I was appointed as sepoy in odisha police in 2018 and signed a bond of 80k if I left the job before 5 years .Now I selected as dy subedar in odisha police in 2022 and taken permission to appear the exam But our office stand demanding 80k fine as I have not completed 5 years term.

Given facts indicate that you are not quitting the service altogether. Your case appears to be distinctly different from any other employee who just want to get rid of hard duty of police and prefers to open grocery shop.

Given facts indicate that you have been permitted to apply in the same profession in the same department on higher post.

The stand of deptt appears unjustified.

You may seek interview with higher authority. Once you apply for permission to inverter with DGP the authorities in chain may listen to you.

Further your query is silent whether this suggestion to deposit Rs 80 Lakh is oral or some XYZ has signed some orders for the same.

Yes. I agree with the advice of Mr. Sudhir Kumar sir. You may seek redressal in the Grievance Cell of the Police or with the DGP
