retirement age of high court judge in india

a section of media recently reported that retirement age has been raised to 65 years. i think this is not correct. what is the correct position ? what is the procedure for amending the retirement age of judges ?

It requires amendment in Constitution. Since ruling party does not have requisite strength to get the amendment through, it is discussing with other parties. It has been reported that main OP has consented to it subject to condition that a retiring judge shall not take any job thereafter.

Yes,Amendment is required in the Constitution, with 2/3 majority in both the house.

Very Good movement to raise the age of HC judges from 62 to 65. Because the life span of the man increased to 66 yours in our country. So there will be no problem if the age is increased.
