An authority is not paying its staffs from last six months. Can the staffs ask the reason and when the due will be paid? Can the matter be related with life & liberty of the staffs?

yes. it is natural justice which can be demanded by any citizen and staff is wroking there so it has even right under service rules also.

Staff has got every right to approach the authority to know the reasons as to the non-payment of remmunration & y not payment to be made good? written request letter by all the staff in general will be helpful to get the solution. yea, its a natural justice as said by Raj.

Find out the reason why the staff have not paid for six months. Issue legal notice to the Authority for the payment of dues.
