Respected Sirs, I have purchased a Second hand car (Swift Dzire) in Chennai (around 12th Jan 2013) via used car dealer who is working as commission agent only. I have no interacted with the seller and believed the words of the broker and proceeded. At the time of purchase the hire purchase is not cancelled in the RC book but the buyer have NOC from his bank hence I accepted to take delivery of the car by paying 520000 out of 570000 which is cost price. balance at the time when they hand over the RC book. After two months of purchase i have been told that RC book is ready and hence i arranged for the settlement of the pending 50000 rs. including their brokerage. I was following with the broker and did not get any positive answer about the RC book. the reasons were told that suddenly the owner of the vehicle has transfered to north india and cannot be reached, etc etc. Till date i have not received my RC book., hence request your advice how to proceed in this matter. thanks in advance.

You have to immediately file an FIR for fraud in police station against the agent and the owner. Police will trace both of them.

Had you obtained form 29, 30, 35 along0with an affidavit of the seller duly signed and attested by Notary public?
