Concluded Society Elections on 14th Aug 22 under the observations of Registrar of Cooperative Societies,my query is that, can a Non Resident Society Member(Doctor by profession, had leased his flat) be made Secretary.
If so, can anyone please refer exact Bye Laws on the same.

How can anyone refer to the exact Bylaws lying with the Association or a Registrar of Cooperative societies? You can apply a copy for the same and you can refer to it.

If the member is the owner of the flat located within the society/association then there should not be a problem for him to be elected as secretary to the society, however you may ascertain the actual facts and refer to the bylaws available in the office of the association in this regard and get the issues clarified

The landlord / doctor is a member of the CHS, hence entitled to vote and get elected for any post in the Managing Committee of the society, irrespective of the fact that the member is residing in the complex or rented out his flat.
