Section 138

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 28 May 2010 This query is : Resolved
I had filed a case for cheque bounce.

On first date, the judge asked fixed June 14th as next date of hearing.

Will the judge be sending a letter / other document confirming the same.

Is it necessary for me to appear or just my lawyer is enough to appear
Virender Pankaj (Expert) 28 May 2010
The court will not sent any letter or document for confirming the date of hearing.
In criminal complaint the complainant has to present on each date of the case, if the complainant is not present on the date of hearing his exemption application may be filed by his/her Lawyer.

No, judge will not ask for any explanation on that day judge will record your sworn statement
