Sir,
My sister filed a cheating case under section 420 Criminal Procedure Code against cheating her for an amount of Rs.10 lacs. She filed a private case on an undertaking the documents will be produced later and original documents is in civil court and got registered FIR against me. Police arrested me and sent to judicial custody. My sister filed only to take revenge against me and no financial transaction executed between us.
Till todate I have not issued Summons by the court in this case. Nine months have elapsed I have been arrested and released on bail but no summons were issued.
Please advise me what action to be taken by me.

In all probability the matter is still under investigation - you must be having a copy of FIR, if the case on the very face of it is bereft of any merit and is mala fide instituted only to settle scores and discloses no cognizable case - quashing would be an option for you
