Senior Citizen=any priority...

Dear Sirs,
I am Senior citizen & being troubled by a frequent violator of law. Can I get any priority/relief in early disposal of the matters.And if yes under what section/order/rule?
Please guide at the earliest.

there are no direct provisions in this regard.

but the courts have certain self-adopted norms, if you have some genuine case which is being delayed unnecessarily then you may approach HC with an appropriate petition for expediting the trial or early disposal of the matter.

Yes fortunately or unfortunately , there is no special provision in law for expeditious disposal of cases wherein a senior citizen is involved. However in certain circumstances the high court do interfere by its superintending jurisdiction to direct the lower court to conclude the trial within specified time limit if the said case is facing inordinate delay.

Yes. You make a formal application for speedy disposal on this ground. The concerned court will definitely act upon it.
