Technically the civil procedure code does not use
word arguments. It speaks of a word final hearing which connotes conclusion of evidence on evidence on either side and final submissions of case by either side.
But in practice it is not possible to do so on one date alone.Hence first plaintiff side
evidence is concluded where after defendant side evidence is concluded and finally either side arguments are heard.
