stamp and registration act

here my question is that if any consent decree is passed by court in relation of immovable property then "is it necessary to pay stamp duty to get it registered?"

plz tell clarify the law in this regard.

If the consent decree effects any transfer of right/interest in immovable property, stamp duty is payable on registration, according to the recitals of the consent decree.

I add in the opinion of the experts that if the consent decree was based upon family settlement then no stamp duty is payable.
