Sub-registrar certified page in sale deed

(Querist) 14 January 2016 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

I am planning to buy a plot in Bangalore. The owner is saying that he has lost the original one page(last page) of the sale deed which has the property schedule details. He has however obtained a certified copy of the page from the sub registrar office. Can this cause problem in future when I intend to sell the plot or can I go ahead with the purchase?

You shall apply for the certified copy of the document ( not a page only). then the sub-registrar will issue certified copy of the entire document. It will be the same as original even courts also.

Get the matter entered in the sale deed language, obtain full document certified copy, get it checked by your lawyer and proceed.
