Dear experts i am facing dv and we have baby boy.on 23-02-2014 my son will going be one year and i want to attend his birthday.my brother in law is threatening me that he will kill me if i attend the birthday.i already complained this to sho,dcp,acp,and commissioner also.i want to know that. 1.can i ask for a police protection to attend my sons birthday.

Have you the permission to visit and attend the function from court ?
If yes contact police.

When you are already facing a dv case from your wife's side, you need to be more cautious. Your brother's threat should not be seen as a threat to kill you, rather that may be treated to be aimed to caution you to avoid any more additional serious charge by your wife or her family members. Must avoid attending the function.

As already there is a dispute, my suggestion is to avoid the function. Let your son enjoy the birthday celebrations.
