What is the time limit for disposal of Divorce petition under Hindu Marriage Act.As I heard, Supreme court had passed many judgements regarding time limit. Is any one may help me to provide caselaw for reference. I am contesting divorce petition for seven year and still I am unable to produce my first evidence. The other party is influencial and mould Judges for seven year. So please help me. I have very bad experience about Judiciary and I think Complaint about Judges may be unfavorable for my case. Whether, it is suitable to file expedition petition in High Court.
Note- Sorry for typing error as 'my' for 'many'.
Thank you for quick reply. I am totally ruined in these years because I have travelled 650 Km. to attend the hearing of case. I am suffering from acute depression and anxiety about my life as I am now 42 years.

Amongst Hindus marriage is holy, it is not a contract between male and female. Usually court takes time to grant divorce, because sometimes change of minds both husband and wife may come together, but it is very wonder since 7 years u r unable to lead your evidence strange!.
When suprement court has insisted time bond to your case it is the bounded duty of the court to proceed with the case.
Just you made an allegation to the registrar to the HIgh Court then see the effect.

There is no time limit prescribed by any Court in India in such matters, however, a reasonable time is expected whereas in your case i is highly excessive and malafide on the part of particular court. Better you obtain the certified copies of your case, datewise proceedings and make a detailed complaint against all incoming judges dealing with your case directly to Registrar of your High Court with copy to CJ of your High court.

There is no time limit set for disposal of Divorce petition. Now it is better for you to send a complaint to the registrar of your High Court.

DELAY THE DIVORCE once supreme court said for future compromise, however if you are strong even after 7 years then you have remedy available by filing writ petition for directing the above said matter to be taken up for further hearing and can get direction for disposal within time limit as per the direction by the Hon'ble Court you can always dispose it off in the jurisdictional courts.
