Hello, Is there a formal way of confirming a property name and dues before going for a purchase. I want to do this for a Delhi property. Which govt office would this be available from and can it be available from any such office in Delhi or only the related area wise office.

It can be confirmed from local MCD office/Registrar office of the office of the society wherein such property situated.

You can take the services of an advocate and request him to prepare a detailed search report which shall contain all aspects related to the property in question.

Ownership and Encumbrance Report (Also Called Current Owner Search Report or Property Report)
