All experts,
i am living in chennai, tamilnadu. i was purchased sofa set for my home in one of the very big furniture mart in T.Nagar,Chennai, they did not give bill for my sofa set, in lieu of giving delivery chellane take prit out and gave me, this is doing for regularly, all the customer, now can i complaint the income tax officer or other tax officer, any body give me toll free number or mail id, in my jurisdiction.

Yes.You must inform the commercial taxes dept also.

Generally, it is not the question of the vendor not giving the bill, it the customer who pays scant importance to the billing process. I am afraid this happens even to educated persons. You can visit the ACTO in T.Nagar and apprise your matter.

Complaint with commercial tax authorities, they are authorise to take appropriate legal action against the owner of the shop.
