Tracing of property title

(Querist) 22 January 2015 This query is : Resolved
Respected Sir/Madam,

I know that a Agricultural property which is in the name of My Uncle(My father's brother) is an Ancestral property.
But all the recent records shows that the property is self purchased by him.
When I approached the Revenue Dept. they told there is no old records relating to that property.

How Can I trace the records relating to property? And what are documents I ask to Concerned?
Please suggest me.

1. The record that shows that such uncle has purchased such property by his own funds needs to be examined in sense as from whom did he buy such property? The facts will become clear. You need to investigate to sustain that such property was an ancestral property. Even thirty old records are available which will show the name of the original owners.

2. If need be for further in depth discussion you may consider to have a phone consultation and for that get my contact data by clicking my name shown in the L.H.S. margin of this reply format.

You can take a copy of the land record of the property from revenue department / Patwari.

Obtain an encumbrance certificate for the past 30 years and verify. Consult a local lawyer.
