(Querist) 31 March 2009 This query is : Resolved
Under which law vehicle is insured with the insurance company in case of damage in accident? is it the same with insuring third party under MVA of 1988?

Dear Assumi
Ya it s same with insuring third party under MVA of 1988. Under the MV act damage can be claimed in the MACT tribunal or if genuine claim is repudiated then it can be claimed in the consumer forum
PALNITKAR V.V. (Expert) 31 March 2009
In fact MVAct makes it compulsory that all the vehicles should be insured. it is an offence to drive uninsured vehicle.
