Succession never remains in abeyance. Immediately after the death of a person, the property devolves upon his heirs.

The Indian Succession Act is the applicable law on the issue.
The person named in the WILL becomes the beneficiary of the property (subject to the WILL being validly executed)
The question of grant of probate would arise only if and when the competent court is approached.
