Do you celebrate Jan 1 as new year ?
shame...!! shame...!!
what you want to be ?
why an unscientific foolish celebrations ?
Let us question ourselves before celebrating the new year-

Day Change (foreign culture)
how the day change occurs at 12'O Clock midnight ? without any change in the external atmosphere ? Is there any significance ? Do we foolishly follow Britishers ?

year change
we can't differentiate between DEC'31 st and Jan 1st in terms of nature, atmosphere, (or) the movement of earth, (or) the position of planets, but ,many followers of white believe that year changes at midnight of DEC'31st.

calender
in white man's calender we see just month, date and weeks name. there is no defined plan for each day with details of sunrise or sunset or moon position. the calender is just a printed paper on the wall.

Day Change (Indian culture)
day change occurs with sunrise -the change from darkness to the light, the change signifies the day or night.

year change
on ugadi, or any Indian new year period we observe the natural change in the atmosphere with new leaves and refreshing energy with the change in planetary positions. Indians believe this as new year because of clear definition of its significance.

calender
Indian calender popularly known as panchanga refers to timings of sun rise, sunset, movement of the moon, and also gives the indicative, planning for each day according to variation of the nature. this is a time tested and established guidance sheet to lead a purposeful life.
scientifically, naturally and for the human development wise our "UGADI" is the best day to celebrate as new year.
let us boycott Jan 1st celebrations.

Dear Shri Rajkumar Makkad saheb you are 100% right, but knowingly/unknowling we all are followers of britishers. most of laws are old timed of britishers - we are following (apne pas koi rasta hi nahi hai) but our till dated central/state governments are also following british style. They are making acts-rules-regulations to make smaller group very hard ships (it may Income Tax / Vat Act - gujarat state etc.).
I also want make attention to the name of our country in constitution. Hindustan have named as Bharat and india , but there is no name hindustan. Why we have 2 names. Every country in world have only 1 name. We have 2 registered names & 1 old name hindustan.
please forgive if i am making hurt anyone in any way.
Thanks,
