HYDERABAD: Two persons were murdered in separate incidents in the city on Tuesday morning.

In the first incident at Miyapur, a painter Mohammed Ghouse, 24, was allegedly murdered by his wife and mother-in-law. According to police, Ghouse was an alcoholic and used to beat up his wife Sk Farida every day. A fed up Farida, therefore, decided to kill him. In the wee hours of Tuesday, Farida assisted by her mother Haji Begum slit the throat of Ghouse, who was asleep, Miyapur inspector K Ramesh said. After committing the offence, the duo surrendered before police. They were remanded in judicial custody on Wednesday.

In the second incident, a steel rolling factory owner Syed Rafeeq, 28, of Shivrampally was stabbed to death at Jalpally on Wednesday evening.

According to police, when Rafeeq was at his factory, two unidentified persons took him outside to discuss some business-related issue. The duo took Rafeeq to an isolated place near the factory where four of their associates were waiting in an auto.

"The six assailants stabbed Rafeeq to death and fled from the spot in the auto. We are trying to identify the culprits. The motive is yet to be established," said ACP Shamshabad R Sudarshan.

In a separate incident, a decomposed body of a 30-year-old unidentified woman was found on RK Puram tank bund in the Neredmet police limits on Wednesday. No external injuries were found. Police registered a case under section 174 (suspicious death) of CrPC.
