Decrees have to be drawn up in accordance with the Judgment. Costs will have to be tabulated and given in the Decree. Parties are granted time to submit costs lists and certificate from lawyer to the effect that fee has been paid as certified. After drafting the ddecree, parties get a chance to see whether it is in order and then original decree is prepared and signed. Some Final Decrees ( for partition) have to be engrossed on Stamp paper, the vaklue of which have t be paid by the parties into court, with which the Court purchases the stamp paper from the Government treasury. Online grant of Decrees should not be encouraged or enforced or introduced. Now we are sure that we get a stamped Decree with Court seal. India is not yet self reliant on software or hardware fronts and therefore it is not safe to digitalise everything now. It will be a folly to do so as we may be held at ransom by technologically advanced nations on whom we depend for hardware and software.
