Can any body guide whether software companies comes under labour act or not.
If not which law applies for claiming statutory benefits.

Any software company shall be an Industry as defined in section 2(j) of the Industrial Disputes Act, amenable to Industrial Laws..

Software companies answer the definition of Industry and therefore are amenable to labour laws. however all labour laws will not be applicable to them and it shall depend on nature of activity,number of employees, salary etc
