Ancestor property sharing

Hello Sir/Mam,

An Elderly person having 2 sons and 2 daughters who are all married & have their own family. The elder son has a married daughter & a son, the second son has been expired & has a son & a minor daughter.

The Elderly person has a property in his name; he has not written any will or shared this property among any of his children.

In case if he dies, who are the legal heirs of his property?

If you are a Hindu, the property consisting of the intestate’s land and house, will be distributed equally among the four Class-I heirs – the daughter, son, wife and mother.

If the elder person dies, his two sons and two daughters shall succeed to his property in equal shares if they are Hindus.
