Bar council registration

Respected Members,

I am a final year student and about to register at the Delhi Bar Council.

Sir/Ma'am, Is it madatory to be a resident of New Delhi to register at Delhi Bar Council?

I am a resident of NCR (Faridabad) so do I need to be a New Delhi Resident to register myself at Delhi Bar Council or can I go ahead with a residence proof of my present address?

Regards,

Karthik K.R.

Hai Karthik, According to Advocates Act 1961, you can enroll your name any state. if you want to change the enrollment after the enrollment also possioble. you can refere the sec 17,18,19..in advocates act 1961. No need of the residence proof for enrollment. While Enrollment the bar association do the certificate's verification only. As useval you submitt the your own residence proofs. If it is possible you take the Adhar card in new delhi.
