Builder changes the superbuiltup area on project completion

I booked a appartment early 2013 with a superbuiltup area of 680 sqft. But now when the building is nearing possession, the builder says that the superbuiltup area has increased by 30 sqft. And he is asking me to pay for that area. This extra 30 sqft was not a part of the initial agreement when I booked the flat in 2013. Builder denies possession of the flat until I pay the extra amount.

1st you have to verify whether the area of you flat is 680 or 710 Sq. ft. if as per the builder there is enhancement of 30 Sq. ft then you have to pay extra amount for 30 Sq. ft. as per agreement you are agreed to take possession of 680 Sq. ft but inadvertently that area increase.

Thanks for your reply. So if the area has increased and I pay for the extra area, the undivided share in the land also increases? Should this also be included in the documentations like OC, Approved plans from local authorities, is there any other documentation I must be concerned about?
