Can Advt in practice work as a designated partner/Director?

What requirements needs to be fulfilled for Advocate to continue to render his/her attestation and appearance before superior courts, on becoming designated partners/director of LLP/Limited Company? Do they have to take prior approval  from their respective council to work in same capacity as individual under  LLP/limited name? Please guide us with full details.
