Can i file criminal case for forgery after civil case filed

Hi,

i am Ajay from Hyderabad my grand father registered me his property of 7 acres of land, after we came to know that same property got registered on my uncles(grand fathers son) name by producing fake documents and forged signature. we already filed a civil suit in 2009 and my grand father didn't file a criminal case for forging his signature as humaniterian grounds. my grand father passed away a year ago he included me in that suit as main member. every thing is in favour of us and still everything continues on my grand father's account. now my uncle wants to get some part by creating some nonsense the main concern is can i  file a criminal case against him now for forging my grand fathers signature please help me out

There is no bar in law to initiate both the proceedings i.e. if civil proceeding has been initiated, criminal can also be initiated if there is any offence. Have an examaple for a cheque bounce case both criminal as well as civil proceedings can be initiated.
