can I stand for society's MC election

dear learned lawyers

I have rented out my flat but now staying in another flat with my couson which very close to my flat which is rented out.

I am desirous to stand for society's MC election in the society where I rented out my flat

would you advice me legal views if I can stand for MC election. if yes with exact bye laws of the Maharashtra Cooperative Housing Society Act 1960.
