The query is short of material facts. Are you the accused in the case? If so, what is the present status of the investigation/trial?

T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Advocate)     17 December 2024

Yes, a photocopy of a document can be admitted as evidence in a criminal case under certain circumstances:

Secondary evidence: A photocopy can be used as secondary evidence if the original document is lost, destroyed, or in the possession of the other party.

Cross-examination: A photocopy can be used for cross-examination if the original document is not available. However, it's recommended to produce the original document whenever possible.

Certified copies: Certified copies of public documents can be used as secondary evidence
