Caveat is usually filed u/s 148A of CPC. (Relevant Order - XIA)
A caveat petition must be prepared, containing the name of the court/forum before which it is to be filed, the name of the petitioner (caveator) as well as the names of existing or potential appellant(s)/plaintiff(s), with the particular Suit/Appeal/Petition no. (if currently existing).
Notice of Caveat, alongwith the Caveat application, has to be sent to the concerned parties by Registered Post.
