CHEQUE BOUNCE

I have given cheque of 6.5 lakh to one party.He made agreement of that amount on 1000 stanp paper.now he is giving me threating that I will file case against you.i need more 6 months to pay that money.what should I do now.

It seems you have given undated cheque. If you are sure that you will pay honorably in six months, then inform him in writing stating your Bonafide intent. After that let him do whatever he wants, but make sure that you pay in six months. But if you are saying six months, just to gain time, then sooner or later you will be in problem.
