Clarification of Acting Chief Justice for Karnataka

Chief Justice of India K.G. Balakrishnan on Saturday said the acting Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, Madan B. Lokur, was being sent to the Karnataka High Court as its acting Chief Justice, in place of the incumbent, Justice P.D. Dinakaran, who has been advised by the Supreme Court collegium to go on leave.

Justice Balakrishnan gave this clarification to a query from this correspondent whether two Chief Justices could be appointed to a High Court. He said: “Justice Lokur is being sent only as acting Chief Justice. Our concern is the judiciary in the State is in a shambles. We want things to be set right. Let us see how things go, and then we will decide.”

"Justice Dinakaran has been advised to go on leave".

Unless the he goes on leave and a vacancy arises , how another acting CJ could  be appointed?
