There is no litigation involved in your issue when you have misplaced or lost it.

Remain cool and recollect your memory whether you have filed such certificate before any Public Authority in the past. (including to your children's admission etc)

Make a Visit to the public authority in person, and file RTI Application seeking such certified copy, use that certified copy for immediate necessity, and inform the loss to the authority that issued such certificate and pay fees for issuing a duplicate copy.
