Is section 138 of NI Act compoundable? If yes any case laws?
An offence u/s 138 is very much compoundable by virtue of section 147 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
Moreover the offence u/s 138 is compoundable not only at the stage of trial but also during the stages of appeals, revisions and even SLP.
The relevant authority is 2004 CRLJ 3786.
