No, society can not built a any construction work in common plot of the society. If any member's done illegal construction work in common plot of society then also can be not proper as per law.
your right to take objection, AND write a application about this matter to Jilla Registrar of Societies, Nagar Palika/Gram Panchayat/Corporation/Urban development authority and local police station.
