We have faced a tough time in Consumer Court (Morena MP). Despite our full compliance in the execution matter, the judge issued the NBW and asked the company person to be present personally. The complainant was ready to withdraw the matter but the Judge did not allow him to withdraw and forced the company to send his person there. The person was detained in the court and after depositing the penalty, the matter was closed. I think the Judge handled the matter in a way he is dealing with Criminal/. Civil matter. This type of behaviour of a Consumer Court is real harassment to the companies and would defeat very purpose of the Consumer Protection Act.
