well, there are no set principles to fix liability of any person in this kind of situation.

 

the question is what compelled her to take such a big step....however, every person will react differently to different situtations...every individual has a different temprament also.

Yes there is no settleled principle to fix the liability on any person. The question is that what situation leads take such unfortunate step. Every person has different temperament to handle the situation. The court opined on how she was compelled to take such a drastic step and who abetted to take such step

suicide is a very serious matter... police will drill to the last hole with the direction of magistrate... 498a was initiated to stop suicides and dowry deaths... unfortunately its being misused... just one line does not deserve comments...

Abettment to suicide is a serious crime. But strict prerequsites are there.
