Dv act clarification

Dear Experts,

I wanted to understand a point in the DV Act.

Is there a difference in filling the DV act in the situation where,

1. if you are inside the in laws house living with them and you fill the case because they are or may forcefully throw you out.
or
2. You fil the case when your in laws have already thrown you out by locking the house for days?

hi

dv act has passed to give domestic security to women.

if you are inside the in laws house living with them and you fill the case because they are or may forcefully throw you out.

ur first uestion is reasonable about the applicbility of dv act

if u feel that ur in-laws may forcefully throw u out and they behave differently u may file case.

and in that situation also when they have acted according ur 1st query

Dear Seema ,

Try to resolve your differences through mutual understanding with your husband .Love wins over everthing rather than Law . Once you go in for DV act your Marriage is almost over .If the house belongs to the father in law they can disown their son and both you and  your husband  would be out of the house .You would get reliefs from Only your husband provided you are not working like maintanence etc .

Yes, there is a difference how court would deal with the matter.

In one case, you are in threat of being thrown out. In other case, you are already thrown out.
