Multiple complaints in cheque bounce case

Me and my brother filed cheque bounce cases against the accused who issued two separate cheques  to each one of us. Both cases are being tried together. In case of jail conviction, will accused get double punishment or he can undergo imprisinment simultaneously?

Dear Ankit,

Both the matters can be tried together and if convicted then imprisonment would run simultaneously.

How you are sure that accused will be convicted.

The cheque law is a technical law and so just like childrens puzzles it has more chances / traps of failure if the accused conducts the trial with proper legal aid.

It is a criminal trial so benefit of doubt goes to accused . The accused has to just create doubt about  story in the complaint and than even presumptions also can not work in favor of complainant.
