Dear, charge sheet generally filed within 90 days from the day of FIR. If you are not arrested can go for anticipatary bail , if arrested than can move application for regular bail.

The bail is granted before the chargesheet is made. The filing of the chargesheet is 60 days if any of the accused is arrested and put in jail, otherwise there is no time limit. But if there is the delay in filing the chargesheet, then the chances of quashing the 498a case becomes stronger. Visit www.498a.org
