Offence under Section 326 of IPC being Grievous hurt, it is not compoundable. It will definitely reflect in the verification report of the police. It is not mentioned in your query as to whether charge-sheet has been filed or not. If it has already been filed, then  you can compromise with the de facto complainant outside the court in such a way that he/she will turn out to be hostile witness during the trial so that the case will end in your acquittal. Since you are likely to join Indian Navy, it is very urgent matter. Take care of this matter scrupulously.
